Ingredients
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened two sticks
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
12oz pkg chocolate chips or two cups of whatever addition you’d like
1 cup chopped nuts optional
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars. Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
- Gradually add in the flour mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips or whatever additions you choose.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop balls of cookie dough onto the cookie sheet (baking mats are perfect for this), leaving 2 inches between each ball.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are a medium brown, but the centers are still slightly soft. Allow the cookies to cool a couple minutes on the pan before transferring to a cooling rack.
